Modern Disney Princesses by meabhdeloughry Modern Disney Princesses by meabhdeloughry
Can we please have around of applause for Disney Pixar Princesses? People often ask me what is my favourite disney movie is (beacuse I'm so obsessed with them) and I can never give an answer so I usually put them into four genres. "The Classics", "The Scratchy Ones", "The 80's- 90's" and "The Pixar Ones".
I love all these genres for different reasons and the scratchy ones are probably my favourite (they're basically the ones that were made when disney studios were losing money so they fired all their Inkers and invented a new printer. This meant all the drawings could be scene in the movies). The 80's-90's are probably my least favourite but I do still love them. But character wise, The Disney Pixar Princess are definitely my favourite. They're so full of personality and are so funny! Artistically, Brave is my favourite, Comedy, Wreck-it-Ralph, is the funniest to me and just for the story line, Tangled is amazing.
I am so excited to see Frozen it's killing me! I have no doubt about it living up to the standard of the others :)

I knew Merida was the only official Pixar Princess but I thought Pixar helped in some of the animation of the other movies I guess I got mixed you because Floyd Norman worked on Tangled and he used to work for Disney and Pixar ... stupid me for not knowing :/

Which movies do you mean by "the scratchy ones"? The drawing is really good by the way! x

Thank you! I just call them the scratchy ones because you can see some of the original pencil work in the film. My favourite movies from that section are probably 101 dalmatians, robin hood, the sword in the stone, jungle book and the fox and the hound. But the best example of the "scratchy" style is if you have ever seen The Rescuers, there is a character in that movie called Madame Medusa and she was animated by a guy named Milt Kahl and he hated to change his drawings to be cleaner, so if you want to see what i mean just look up a clip of her on youtube or something. Btw, those movies where made from 1961-1989
